Please join us for Mentor Training
Saturday, March 21st, 8:30 am (POSTPONED)
DePaul Center
420 Date Street, Montebello
Coming Together to Get Ahead works to eliminate poverty using strategies from Bridges Out of Poverty and the workshop series, Getting Ahead in a Just Getting-By World, by engaging with families who are seeking to move from dependency to self-sufficiency through education, assessment, and mentoring.
To learn more about Coming Together to Get Ahead (CTGA), please join us for a Mentor Discernment Presentation Saturday, March 21st, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, at DePaul Center.
We welcome people of all faiths and backgrounds. CTGA graduated fifteen “investigators” (participants) from their Getting Ahead workshops in 2019, and plan to run our next English session Spring 2020 and Spanish session Fall 2020.
This program requires many volunteers to be effective. We are especially in need of:
- mentors
- food service
- care coordinator
- and meal sponsors.
For more information or to RSVP, please contact Nancy Vasquez at 323-767-8165 or nvasquez@depaulcenter.org
Please join us on March 21st!
